Great pancakes and a good
turnout helped make this another successful project.
Council Donates
Coats for Kids
The Council donated 24 winter coats in December
2016 to two schools (Kelsey & Opasquia) and The Pas Action Centre as part of
the KC Coats for Kids project.
Council Assists KCS Musical Instrument Replacement.

A donation of $2,000 by Charlebois Council
will be used to replace 30 year old musical instruments used by students at
Kelsey Community School. Music teacher Andre Legeny (L) receives the cheque
from Grand Knight Ken Kelly during a music class.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Ceiling
Replacement
In November, Charlebois Council contributed
another $5,000 to this major parish project, a total of $23,000 to date. The
project was completed in December, 2016.
Program Award Received
At the September meeting, the Council
was presented with a Columbian Award for 2014-15. It reflects the breadth of
programs (4 in each of 4 categories) offered by the Council.
Parish Project with KC
volunteers!
The local Council prepared and served a supper for the
Diocesan Study Days participants on September 14th.
Community Food Programs
Charlebois Council made donations in
2014-15 and 2015-16 to school breakfast

ICCD Tickets Sales for
2016-17
The
sale of 2016-17 raffle tickets is underway. Knights are asked to
get books from project chair Rick Klima.
Rock, Paper,
Scissors Challenge
On April 26, 2010 the 1st
annual Rock, Paper,
Scissors Challenge, sponsored by
Charlebois Council, was held at
ɣole Scott Bateman Middle School.
The 7th annual event took place on April 25, 2016. Winners from

Charlebois Council #2704, founded on
December 2, 1928, is named after
Bishop Ovid Charlebois, the first Bishop of Keewatin-Le Pas diocese and an early Oblate
missionary in northern Manitoba.
Charlebois Council works with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic parish in The Pas, providing funds for
various projects. Council members are active participants in this Parish.

In honour of Bishop Charlebois, the
Charlebois Council sponsored a stained glass window in the Cathedral of
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in The Pas.
